My Poetry #3 - Well, what is love? (unfinished)

This one is just me rambling on about what love is. It was not written for anyone and it wasn't ever finished. It is reproduced here exactly as it was written, mistakes and all. You can see that I was trying too hard to rhyme that it sounds a bit strange. Nice sentiments though :)

Well, What is Love? (unfinished) - Patrick Homan

Love has no face or name to name it by
Yet you and I know it well
You in my arms I lightly embrace
as love is hunted, together we chase
Love is the strength that my arm knows
the arc of flesh that is your breast
Love is felt deep in the chest
Love is so full, yet so empty
Full of good & empty of lies
Love is the crystal clear gleam in your eyes
It is the bloods wild tree that grows
the intricate and folded rose
Love is power, yet as delicate as a flower
It is so deelicate, but yet so strong
Love's strength can bring us together
No matter how far apart, or whatever the weather
Whether it be short or whether it's forever
Love can stop war, sorrow & pain
with nothing to lose & all to gain
Love has no boundaries and yet it's so tender
Love has the power to make a fool remember
There is a tide in the affairs of love
Which taken at the flood, leads on to fortune
On such a full sea we are now afloat
and we will go wherever the current takes us
Love is bigger than any ocean from shore to shore
And love will last forever more.
